Here is an art test I did. I had to think outside the box since environments aren’t my main focus, but I feel like I did quite a good job.
It is a tower that houses carrier pigeons, but it also serves a functional purpose within the game world. One can imagine that these pigeons are trained to send and receive messages, turning the building into a kind of medieval postal service. The concept can even extend to the exchange of small goods: the location acts as a drop-off and collection point, similar to a storage system or logistical relay.
In the exterior view, you can see the main pigeon tower as well as an annex. This secondary structure includes a stable for travelers’ horses, a storage area, and a well. Inside, there is a circular room lit by numerous candles, a hearth, and several sources of natural light from the door and windows. The player can meet the pigeon master at his desk to send or retrieve letters and goods.
And for the more observant players, it is even possible to have fun counting the pigeons.
